Ho Ho Ho, Merry New Year and Happy X-mas :) . It is the first DFW RX-7/RX-8 meet of 2005!! Since our usual date of the first Saturday falls on New Years day we decided to meet the second Saturday on January 8th. Ya know, give everybody some time to work off that hangover :p . So come on out and show off all those new x-mas presents you got for your Mazda. We'll be at the usual spot at Cheddars on McCarther and I-635 at 8pm. Everyone is welcome!

Well thank you, I update the pics on my site with the start button so you can check it out. You can goto a Honda dealership or get one off Ebay.

its really not that hard to find. just head east on 635 and exit macarthur...stayon the access road and the cheddars will be right there after the light.

Mapquest has me going 183 to 161 and becomes bush turnpike and exit at McAurthur.

that will work also. just make sure to head north on (left onto) McAurthur, and its about two lights on the right hand side.

I took that way going there but had to pay a portion toll. I took 121 south on the way home and didn't pay anything. Can we take 121 to 635 there?

yeah thats why i said that way...no toll. but yes you can take 121 to 635, like you're heading out to grapevine mills. just follow the signs that say 635. the 183 to 161 way is a little faster though. all a matter of preference. i know i have a enough loose change around my seats to pay the toll but i'm cheap!

yeah it hasn't been painted yet. thats jut the bumper he had laying around the shop to throw on there. he plans on getting it all painted lambo yellow...something like that.

but it seems to be running pretty smoothly though.

What bad day to forget my digital camera! We had around 25 cars show up for our meet tonight!!! It was a good mix of cars to show up with represenatives from every generation from the first gens to the RX-8's. We also had Erik's mazdaspeed Miata, a Mustang, and I even saw a Porsche. I was particularly impressed with the good showing of some very nicely prepped and modded 3rd gens! Some of the other highlights were Steve Kahn's 3 rotor 3rd gen (with a warped apex seal :( ), a 3rd gen with Z06 engine conversion (professional looking job on it), a 10th aniv. 2nd gen, and a mint looking black 1st gen.

I guess the Ft Worth Caravan ran into a little trouble from the fuz. One of the cars got pulled over for illegal headlights???? The cops must of been bored tonight. It seems like they ought to be out chasing down criminals instead of hasseling people about thier headlights.

I left at about 9pm and there were still 20 or so cars around. It looked like everybody had a good time and we saw some new faces as well. I saw a couple of people with cameras, so if your pics came out good, post them up here for everyone to see.

Just wanted to say I had a great time Saturday hanging with all you rotary owners. Never seen so many 7s and 8s together at one time... almost orgasmic. :) Was nice to see familiar faces and nice to meet some new ones. Can't wait to do it again!!

i might have to make it out next tuesday...i hit up my local pool hall usually every tuesday night mainly because its free for me and close by. i'm not a pool shark :D ...i just like to play every now and then!!! and i keep my stick in my car just in case! ;)

i'm gonna start working more nights for a while casue the money is better, but i will still be out and about. the 8 might be down for a while getting some tranny work redone...still trying to get everything figured out.
