I didn't want to post this to the CA arrival thread, but how did Mr Wiggles get to see what Elara looks like ? I've searched her link on the profile and that forum to no avail :-(

can anyone tell the car is taking (just a little) too long to get here??

I think there was a pic of Elara posted in a thread describing her drive in the Boxster a week or two ago.

Here it is:

I can't believe I missed that! Now I'm really jealous of my near neighbor - I have driven a couple 911s but not a Boxster ...yet...

I'll have to look for that thread!

Actually it was a sarcastic comment.

She said she was celebrating 10th year graduation this summer like myself (i.e. about 28 years old). I had never seen a picture of her I was just merely kidding around by saying she looked younger than that.

I got the kidding part of it; my wife's 10 year was last year so I am familiar with the age range ; now that I think about it, my 25th is coming up, not 20th.

look for the thread for the lady or the car?

The boxter is the red-headed stepchild of the porshe family, thats for sure. I will say this tho. Having competed against one at a local Auto-X that b1tch can carve (the car not the girl)

That Boxster kicked ass. We really, really enjoyed having it for the week. If it hadn't been for the plastic window in the back (fixed on the 2003s) and the fact that I've got the RX-8 coming and we really don't need two new (relatively speaking) cars at once before we buy a house, I wouldn't have given it back. Still have yet to drive the S2000, but we LOVED that Boxster.

Nice colour - the one I tested was also yellow with yellow painted roll bars. But isn't it a different Porsche that is supposed to go off-roading?

That would be my mother's driveway- she lives in the foothills of the Blue Ridge, so everything around there looks like it's offroad. About 50 feet down the road from her driveway the road turns to gravel and runs through a bunch of cow fields. And no, I didn't even think about taking the poor car down that. It got dirty enough as it was just in her driveway. Black may show dirt faster than anything else, but yellow's a very close second.

And hi to you too, Toadman :p
