i dont see why people are getting so up in arms over this, the woman loves her cat has money to spend and spent it, money has been spent on more frivolous things. I think cloning is an important science and will only get better the more it is tested with. And its not an affront to god, God after all gave us the brainpower that allowed us to clone things in the first place.

5k seems to be the sweet spot. We lost a kitty last year we loved dearly. If the service was around then, my wife and I both thought that $5,000 would have been reasonable.

My wife would not do it, she is convinced that the clone would be a very, very bad kitty, with no soul.

I agree, cloning is an important science, and we must master it so that we can learn to use it irresponsibly. Besides, at the same time it gives us a chance to improve on nature. I for one, would like toi see more two-headed, triple-tailed calicos available at my local pet store!

The "clone" is not the type of "clone" you would see in a movie. When your 15-year-old cat dies, and you order one of these clone things, you will receive a young test-tube kitten. They still need to be born and raised.
