Actually, believe it or not I'm not a Wings Fan (just of certain players). I'm a Habs fan through and through (yeah I know lately that's not any better).

Brief report of the gold medal game already in progress... Canada is leading 2-0 within the first 10 minutes of the first period. Canada got into a few penalties (at one point, a 2 man-advantage for Russia) but luckily, killed off all of them... Ovechkin is getting pissed :)

The end of first period and Russia managed to get a goal in at the final few minutes of the first period. It's so far an uneven match. Canada being very physical and overpowering the opposing team.

Halfway into 2nd period... We are owning the Russians. Ovechkin is in the dressing room calling his mom for help. :D

Alright, it's the second intermission. Lets see... Russia is coming apart at the seams and The Great Ovechkin is now too hurt to fire off any goal-worthy shots. That's Karma for you man. You deserved it for taunting the USA team. Oh yea, it's 6-1 and I think it's very safe to say we got this in the bag. I'm going to stop posting until the game is over. Canada have waited so long (8 years) for gold and now it is just 20 minutes of play away.

*sniff* I need a tissue. :D

Well it's all over and done with now... and I am still celebrating victory... what a performance by the whole team... Canada's future looks bright... if we could only get the NHL going now... chances look extremely slim.
