I had to wait for someone older than me to post, because I didn't want to be the old man on the forum, but 40 is how young I am.

First car was an 1987 Ranger (in 1992) and yes, I drove it like I stole it! (13.7 @ 98mph best 1/4 mile time)

I drove a hand-me-down chevy--with no air conditioning--for three years (and summers) before I was able to pay for my own car, still a used Ford. Did I mention that I live in Texas?

25 and I don't think the age of the board is a good measurement of the ages of 8 owners so you're still young ;) which makes me still young. What's age but a number anyway?

40 and loving my RX8. I love the way it looks and drives. And I could care less if an ugly as sin WRX or EVO can beat my car. The difference is the RX8 looks amazing going slow or fast. These other pocket rockets people talk about only get noticed when they speed past you. (Boy, that's really important 365 days a year). This car can be enjoyed by all ages, at all speeds and on all roads. All you people in your 20s must be in heaven owning this car. When I was 21 I owned an IROC Z28 which back then had 225HP stock. I love this car more.

Why jump on her? how do you know she didnt get this benz as a hand me down... this Benz is probably more than 13 years old. So what if her parents had a benz and gave it to her as her first car? This doesnt mean shes some rich snob with no feelings for others. Re-reading this thread, i dont see her asking for sympathy anywhere. My first car was used, i didnt get it til i was 17.5. Oh, did i mention it had no AC AND i live in arizona? YOu were lucky to get a hand-me down, i had to BUY my own car..

I hit the 1/2 Century mark a few months ago. My first car and the car I learned to drive on was a 1963 VW Bettle with a whopping 40 HP. The shifter was a long thin stalk with a very long throw. The car was great to learn on because you could never go/accelerate fast enough to get into trouble. Someone stole the car a few months after I got my license. My next car was a 350 Camaro, 250 HP with a solid Hurst shifter. Quite a step up.

I had a 1981 RX7 for 21 years, but the 8 has been the best and most fun car I have ever owned.

46 and having twice as much fun as I did when I was 23. Actually more than twice from what I can remember when I was 23.
