Would make a great name for a cartoon villain.


But really, does anyone have this issue? The sound it makes when I move the shifter is like a cross between a squeak and a squish sound... I think it might be the o-ring thing around the base of the stick. Is there an easy fix for this?

 

The noise is probably from the leather boot around the shifter, itself. I just ignore mine and consider it a better sound than that of a vinyl boot.

My boot squeaks from time to time. I've found that putting 303 Aerospace Protectant on the boot completely stops the squeaking for a few months until it wears off, then I just apply it again.
