I saw 2 Red RX-8s cruising beside me while I was driving back from the Byron Nelson tournament in Irving, TX.

Both of them had CA registration. It sounded and looked great..except that I thought the stance was pretty high (especially when looked frombehind), and the the rear lights looked tacky.

Can someone confirm availability of Rx-8s in CA?

Those were likely two 8's that were displayed at Mazda Revitup in Dallas and Houston the past two weeks.

I bet they were either a red, blue, or titanium.

Wow, 2 red RX-8's on the road here ... humm, the Dallas Rev-it-up Event only had one red and one blue RX-8 that I saw when I was there ...

Intertesting, anyone think that Mazda has those 2 cars driving around for some kind of road testing program?

I asked the guys at RX8Live in Deep Ellum on May 9th if the red RX-8 they had there was the same one that was at Rev It Up -- it was not.

It, as well as the 2 at Rev It Up were "hand made". Show cars. I begged, but they refused to let me drive. I got to sit in them running, and watch the RX8Live car drive off. (It did not sound like the X2 car, but was still extremely cool.)

Btw, if you saw anything tacky about the cars, they must not have been RX-8's.... ;)

A friend from work aslo saw one the same day around the same area ...
