Has anyone else sent an e-mail to rx8orders in the last couple of days and gotten a response? I sent two in the past two days and as of yet haven't even received so much as the typical automated reply saying that they received my e-mail. You think they are just getting overwhelmed with e-mail at this point?

I just e-mailed them my VIN number to get the ETA on my rx8, I sent it at 9:46am and received a human response at 9:58am - that's service, I don't think they are backed up.
Of course I don't have an arrival time yet as the Mazda Bat Computer lists a "to-be-determined ETA" associated with my VIN.
I'll have to check back with them later this week.

Sounds like either their mail server is acting up at certain times of the day/night or they may just be ignoring my rather important ongoing discussions with my dealer and how they are processing my order and giving me updates (or lack thereof). Anyway, guess I'll try again later.

obviously one of those "YMMV" things. I sent two in the past week, got the quick auto response on the first, then the human response from Ashley saying she'd get more info ; sent a 2nd later last week wondering if she had that info, got the reply to that saying not yet - still waiting for a real answer - this was to the simple question [I thought] of whether production has started or not. I find it hard to believe that 8 days later they don't know and she can't find out... especially given that VINs have been given to some. I can't wait to hear from someone receiving the official email from Mazda (part of the 6 email aspect of the special preorder program).

June-July: US pre-sell customers receive six status e-mails directly from Mazda: when their car is placed in the build-stream, when a VIN is assigned, when car is built, when car is shipped, when car arrives in US and when car arrives at assigned dealership.
A closer look at the letter posted earlier from Mazda North America
to dealers says the e-mails are to begin in June. If this is correct it may explain the current lack of e-mails from Mazda to
all us pre-orders. At this rate it looks like many cars will be built
prior to the buyer recieving any e-mail. Poor planing on Mazda's part.
