don't worry, i am not a market researcher from Mazda but I thought a poll on the ages of RX8 buyers might be interesting?

Turned 26 yesterday. I like candlelight dinners and midnight strolls on the beach :D

This was voted and commented on ad naseum in this thread (http://www.rx8forum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=575&highlight=age)....

yes but that was almost a year ago....many more RX8 buyers have joined since then...besides my poll narrows the age bands.....big difference between a 21 year old and 29 year old! Look at me, when I was 21 I was young and free, now I'm 32 and married and my wife moans at me for not picking up the towel in bathroom after I have had a shower.....and she doesn't understand what all the fuss is about with the RX8!

Younger overall than I would have expected. Amazing how many people under 30 who can afford the car!

Shouldn't surprise you THAT much- for example, my husband and I have been in the workforce now for 6 years, we are college educated, and have good jobs- we do pretty well for ourselves!I've been saving for a new car for three years now, and I will pay for the 8 myself.

What I'm amazed by is the amount of buyers under 21 that we've got- at that age I was working my butt off to pay off the Ford Festiva my parents let me buy. I envy them! My parents would NEVER have bought me a new car.

im 19 and if you want to know im paying for it myself with some help from my parents. im also selling my crap eclipse gt. Also my parents are spoting me the money for graduation

21-- buying for myself as my college graduation present-- will be 22 by the time I take delivery.

22... Will be my gift to myself (Buying it on my own, and been saving for 4yrs. now) for my 23rd BDay in Aug. Hope to get it before or the day of.

i can't believe how young these buyers are! When i was 21, many many moons ago, i drove a 1963 VW Beetle. I had it through University, and during my first 2 years of employment, i battled to work and back in the same beetle...

now i drive a 2001 VW beetle....it's rubbish compared to the old, but for sentimental reasons, I still love the icon of the last century, hence buying it.

Nothing wrong in having the car young. It's another thing when your parents get you the car just like that. Congrats to all the members my age group that are buying the car they EARNED by working for it. :D
