Does any one own a minibike? Want to buy one? Likes them?

My friend owns 3. He lets his kids drive around the house all the time and he takes it out for a spin sometimes. It's not really safe nor is it legal in all areas and unless you have a small go-kart track, it isn't going to get anymore enjoyable than that.

My friend has one and he let me ride it, according to him, he goes out in the streets and stuff, i find it fun. Im thinking about getting one, he got his from Ebay for $200 including the $120 shipping.

There have been cases where there were a lot of accidents from people using these bikes as a transit vehicle. Go figure. I personally like the mini choppers...because that is the only one I think I'll be able to fit on. lol :o

i just happen to have on my windpants that i guess do match. when i drop it a few more times i'm gonna get some nice shag fur to match the 8! i need to order some. but for now i am taking it apart and clean the fuel filter and replacing some of the hoses on it and trying to figure out something to do with my busted exhaust.

this is why i reserve getting air for the ocean, there you only run the risk of bruising ribs and suffering severe head trauma...but no blood on the outside of your body! score!

Personaly I wish that they would outlaw the friggin' things

Every day from 3 - 7 pm they're racing up and down the street in front of my house. Sometimes three abreast! And totaly oblivious to traffic. Day in , day out. I have to listen to those infernal machines!

Why?

They're the one's illegaly driving them on a public street. I actually hope one of them hits my truck so I can sue the hell out of their parents!

ahh... don't you just love irresponsible kids (i'm assuming they're kids since you mentioned "parents"). you should go and put stuff in your street to give them a run for their money - you know, kinda set up an "obstacle" course for them (ideas: marbles, screwdrivers, wrenches, old car parts...) =)

[edit:] Idea #2: if they "pass" that course, then you should *accidentally* spill some oil in the street and see if they can dodge the obstacles then.

hey good idea!!! lets put some oil and obstacles in the street and see if we can't injure the little bastards!!! if it is illegal then you chould talk to the local law officials but since you are asking to outlaw them i'm guessing they aren't that illegal...SOOOO...maybe you shuold take a more mature approach...possibly a petition or maybe asking them nicely to ride somewhere else. its 3-7 when most kids are out playing. thats about the only time i ride mine. but unfortunately its to "friggin" cold outside to ride.

Minibikes are kinda fun, but I prefer the real thing. A couple of my friends bought them and 2 of them crashed. One of them crashed when attempting a wheelie, the other just going too fast in a turn. Pretty funny.
