Ok guys, just wanted to let you know that I got to go to car Heaven on Friday afternoon. I am not even sure really where it is, but I was there. My best friend's dad works for some Ford bigwig who has a garage (ok, whole building) full of all kinds of cars (only about 130 in this building, but supposedly there are more). Her dad is the mechanic for all these beautiful babies. Some were custom built, and some were originals with little to no mileage on them. Most of the cars had won some award or another in car shows. I of course picked the most expensive car there as my favorite (that is the woman's way!!). A racecar that won some big race in the 70s. He turned that car on and the whole place shook which made your heart skip a few beats (literally). Others included cars back to the days of wooden spoke wheels, and a custom built car that looked kinda old/kinda retro with a Viper RT10 engine in it.

The car that made my day though was the Jag from Austin Powers that was painted with the British Flag. Yes, this was the original from the movie. Also had a Delorian (sp?) which was pretty cool. We told him that he needed to put a Flux Capacitor in it and put a sign on it that read (Max Speed 88mph).

Well anyway, I get to go back sometime next month and take my Daddy to see all of it, so I will make sure that I take a camera the next time. I didn't know where we were going this time until we were already there. I wish I knew all the names of the cars, but not so much. I do know that he was working on a 57Chevy convertible when we walked in, but that was only a customer's car. Ah yes, one more...a Ford GT with 2 miles on it.

There is another car heaven on the freeway in between Austin and Houston. Its a classic car museum with perfectly restored cars. They also just happen to have a dealership out front to sell the slightly less perfect but equally as beautiful cars.

Ah yes, but all of these belong to one man, not a museum. :D

LOL...not completely rocked. Yes, they did win, with very little unsportsmanlike behaviour (only one personal foul that I know of). It was a good game on everyone's part, but I still say you can't beat a 99 yard touchdown!!! I am perfectly content...except that our coach should have replaced our quarterback after halftime. Both teams played an awesome game, I just wish I could have been there.

I just pretend like it didn't happen. The last game I went to was in '99 after bonfire fell. We won that game. I havent been to see that rivalry since. Sweet memories of that game so I just revert to childhood, remember the good ol' days and sing La la la la la.
