View Full Version : window shade? dreamgetter1 05-14-2003, 10:25 AM does anyone know what they mean by front windowshade? But I'd guess it is either a folding sunshade for parking, or a 4-inch strip of tint along the top of the windshield. Edit: If it's the former, let's hope it doesn't say 'Zoom Zoom' in big letters across the front of it! dreamgetter1 05-14-2003, 02:14 PM It must be a retractable sunshade as it said "tinted windshield and sunshade"? Gamera 05-14-2003, 03:03 PM Maybe it's the screen print above the rearview mirror: dreamgetter1 05-14-2003, 03:34 PM that's probably what it is alright. Thanks for the info Lensman 05-14-2003, 03:39 PM Originally posted by Gamera Maybe it's the screen print above the rearview mirror: Is that as ugly as it appears?! LTAGFERN 05-14-2003, 04:52 PM Gamera, what do the 'buttons' on the bottom edge of the rear view mirror activate? Will our RX-8's display 'outside temperature' within the viewing area of the rearview mirror? I think that is really neat feature I have experienced on cars other than my own (I drive a '96 Dodge Stratus EX). Gamera 05-14-2003, 04:59 PM I think the switches on the right control the automatic day-night function of the mirror. The other buttons are for Homelink (a universal garage door remote system). I believe this is the upgrade mirror you get with the 2 Touring packages. dreamgetter1 05-14-2003, 05:02 PM I believe the buttons on the mirror are for "Homelink". The temp display is on the main center console above the stereo. Exactly what "Homelink" does I'm not sure, would like to know though. dreamgetter1 05-14-2003, 05:04 PM Now I know. Do you need a specific garage door opener to use the Homelink Option? BillK 05-14-2003, 06:00 PM Originally posted by dreamgetter1 Now I know. Do you need a specific garage door opener to use the Homelink Option? Most garage door openers sold in the last fifteen years or so are compatible with Homelink: http://www.homelink.com. I believe that the outside temperature display is located in the centre console by the radio station display. |
