Are there shops that repair cracks in the MSpeed bumper?

I got a crack on my front MSpeed bumper. There's no scrape or paint remnants on the bumper, just the crack. Its as if someone hit the front bumper w/ a metal pole, left no other marks except the crack.

Are there shops that can fix this type of crack? Or is ABS plastic material not fixable in any way?

Has anyone else have problems w/ cracking w/ the MSpeed bumpers or ABS plastic in general?

I hope the body shop doesn't charge me over $500, or I'd seriously think about submitting another insurance claim. I just worry about the paint matching.

Is it a real MS bumper or a knockoff?

did it crack out of nowhere? or did you hit something? If you want, i can talk to my good friend that owns a body shop that does most of my work to see how much it will cost. I will pm you tomorrow and find out.

it can be repaired, any hald decent body shop should be able to do it.
it pays to get a few written quotes. matching shouldnt be a problem. make sure you have the whole bumper painted again.

mikeb -- I actually replaced my bumper twice already --

1st time I was driving on the highway, and an old rasied Ford Bronco ran over a blown tire head on and it threw the torn tire right into my bumper. I had no time to react, it just accelerated (in the opposite direction) into my bumper.

2nd time was a lady in my parking garage just backed into my bumper, she pretty much reversed into it at 6 mph. It was enough to damage the main-upper screw holes and the bumper was crooked. She just cut me a check for the price of a new bumper+Mazda emblem and $100 for installation.

This would be a third time actually, I just didn't make the 2nd incident public.

btw -- this ms bumper is the bane of my existence!!!
