one that isn't going to get mentioned, is Austin Powers (the original) I know its hard to look back in retrospect, but before they destroyed the movie by turning it into a dynasty, the first one was soo good. It was a sleeper too. I wasn't expecting half the movie I got, yet I was laughing so hard periodically throughout that I almost fell out of my chair a few times.

bottle rocket, dumb and dumber, billy madison, holy grail, to name a few more

I always liked Spinal Tap. So many classic subtle jokes in that movie. You see something new every time you watch it.

My Name Is Nobody starring some guy name Terrance....I forget the last name. It was a comedic spaghetti western.

That movie was soooo stupid when I first saw it. I ran across it the other day and I found it funnier for some strange reason

Blazing Saddles without a doubt the funniest movie I have ever seen.

Also, for some reason What About Bob is funny in the way Bill Murray annoys Richard Dreyfus :D

By the by, Office Space is hihlarious. Every time I watch it I shudder as to how close that movie can sometimes be to the real world.

For gross physical humour I would go with Jim Carrey shows like Dumb & Dumber and Me, Myself & Irene. I am thumping the floor when I watch these...

Brain Donors.

It's a movie that has no cursing, nobody has heard of, and was very low budget.

But it's the funniest damn thing I've ever watched.

A damn funny movie no one has mentioned was Snatch. It just gets better and better every time you watch it. I think I like it because it was a different kind of humor than I was used to. Lock Stock and Two Smoking barrels was also funny (anyone see a patern).

LS&2SB and Snatch have are alot alike because both were written and directed by Guy Ritchie. I saw Snatch at the movie theater and loved it while my girlfriend thought it was the worst movie ever made.

Monty Python's 'Life of Brian' and also 'Holy Grail', 'Spinal Tap', 'Young Frankenstein', 'Snatch', the original 'Italian Job' (the new one is not funny at all though it is fun), 'Lock, Stock & 2 SB's', 'Fish Called Wanda' and finally, 'Kind Hearts & Coronets'.
'Nuff said!!??

Some that haven't been mentioned yet (not the funniest ever, but pretty funny):

The Jerk (He's shooting at the cans!)

Father of the Bride

Meet the Parents

Oh Brother Where Art Thou (MY HAIR!)

Office Space. One of the best.
Super Troopers (the first 2/3 of it), also hilarious.

Runners up?

Shot in the Dark and The Pink Panther

Mel Brooks in his prime: Spaceballs, Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein.

Python and derivatives: Holy Grail, Life of Brian, Eric the Viking, even Adventures of Baron Munchausen.

American Pie and the sequel.

Real Genius, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Better Off Dead/One Crazy Summer.

Ice Age is I think the funniest animated/CG movie.

Revenge of the Nerds 1, Police Academy 1.

There are just soo many to choose from. But I'd say Office Space and Super Troopers are at the top of my list right now.
