I just got a call from Irvine Mazda wanting to know what port options I would like to add. I take that as a very good sign.

I Added the rotory accent package and the 6 cd in dash changer.

it may be a good sign but if it was my dealer that called to ask i would say it was because they just noticed that there were new options available that we have all known about for weeks.:(

wow.. lucky you.. I didnt even get call from my dealer saying they ordered the car hahahaah.. so I can seriously doubt they'll call for port options..

so much for the fine art of upselling.. punks.

RX-NUT they will just add some things and up the cost of your car:mad:

I wanted to change my preorder to and this is what Mazda told me on 3/17/03


As for spec changes, it is too late for vehicles ordered during January (April production). If Marlin Mazda ordered your RX-8 during February (May production), or March (June production), it is still possible to make spec changes. The tentative spec change cutoff for May production is April 21, 2003. Tentative spec change cutoff for June production is May 19, 2003. I would recommend checking with Marlin Mazda for when your RX-8 was actually ordered.


That said, I figured I couldn't get the navigation on the car this late in the game. But I'll call tomorrow and find out.

Should have asked him for two extra ports on the engine. :p

My dealer said the RX-8 will be arriving in June. :D
