Its really a shame they cant open up a little more - andthat Mazda didnt make a switch to open them from the driver side.

I've never opened the rear windows.

I've only opened them to clean the glass.

I open them when my car's parked and baking in the sun. It really helps keep the temp down.

I've only opened them when autocrossing; and that is like about 3 times this year :)

i've opened mine twice in 6-7 months of ownership. They take too much effort to open and close, and they don't do much anyway.

I use the sunroof to vent the car if it's in a hot area.

never ,since i don't sit back there.

I open them in the heat when parked. Also, sometimes when I'm driving and I dont want the AC on .. I'll tilt the roof and open the rear window to allow for airflow.

I find it's very easy to open the drivers side rear window while driving by slipping your left arm behind the seat. The other side window requires you to lean a little much.

the barf from my the back seat passenger's has got to go somewhere :p

hey did anyone hook these up so they open electronically?

I'm thinking about tearing them off my dad's mini van for the hell of it, trade them :)

gives the kids something to play with, pity they don't really open far enough for the chunder (that's aussie for barf!)

This reminds me.. Next time I go on an airplane, I should appropriate a few barf bags for the back seat passengers in my car :D

I only open it when I'm cleaning/drying the car.
Other then that I don't open them. I use the sunroof for ventilation.

My kids can't help but to play with them and then always leave them open. After the umpteenth time, I resorted to the dad yell and instructions to never ever touch them again. Windows closed now.

hey good point...since there is no way to lock the windows (usually opened by little prying hands) what do we do? I'm thinking those electronic ones are sounding mighty good right now :)

They shouldjust make a switch for them on the driver side door. Thatwould take care of both problems. But again the windows dont even open up wide enough for you to spit out of them. Wouldbe nice to findsomeone who could tweak them so they could open up more - even better if you couldconvert them into roll downs

It would be cool if they opened like the front ones, but then again it would add a little more money and weight...so...who cares

The only time they are open is if my kids are in the back and open 'em.
