im looking to temperarally take all the emblems off my rx8 and paint them a dark chrome red, my question is what is the easiest and best way to take the emblems off and then to put them back on

um i heard u use a hair blower and heat it up for a long long time then u can pry it off easily... heat guns r too hot for the job and will damage the paint...

none of them are bolted on? so they are just double sided sticky tape?

They all have "locator" pins on the back of them with the exception of the RX8 badge.

so once again how do i get em off

Use a hairdryer to warm the area and use fishing line or tooth floss to gently remove.

Don't worry too much about breaking the locating posts since they're useless anyway.

if you break the posts, dont worry, use hot glue to re-attach back onto the bar/boot lid.

The posts are only purely to locate the emblems to ensure that they are put on straight.

If it's a concern to you, then just go to a dealer and buy new emblems and paint those instead.
