MazdaSpeed Rx-8? in 2 years?

Hi all I am a newbie to this forum...currently drivng a VW Jetta...loves the engine when the turbo kicks in...but I dont like its heavy *** understeering characters and I wanna try something light, NA, and RWD...350Z is too heavy...and I always love FD looks......now...I was having wet dreams about a titanium grey Rx-8 with Mazdaspeed recently...can't get it out of my head...and the zoom zoom zoom thing just drives me nuts...

Anyway...just wondering if anybody knows about when will the MazdaSpeed version of Rx-8 gonna come to Canada?

Another question...Do you think the dealership will offer installation of the bodykit when you order it? Or just gotta find it somewhere from US/Japan?

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.

There are basically two different Mazdaspeed "levels". One, which should be available when the car is available, is merely a set of body panels, interior baubles, etc. About the only performance parts we expect right off will be strut and body bars, sway bars, and possibly coilovers (and we aren't sure whether any of those items will be available on these shores).

The other level is expected to be a significant upgrade in power (the goal reportedly being 300 hp), a possible SMT, and handling and possibly braking improvements. Mazda hasn't even officially announced that they are working on this particular version, needless to say that they will produce it or when. Expectations for this model are anywhere from a year from now to two years from now.

Thanks for the info!

I just need the look and handling...if I want power...I'd rather get a FD and add twin turbo...this car is all about handling...I may only switch if the Lotus Elise is coming to Canada...

I am going to make sure I have a weight saving program myself...hahaha

add twin turbo? all FD's come with twin turbo...if you really want power, go for single turbo :D then it will be a monster.

actually i think most v8 conversions are to ls1 motors...which costs like 10k in parts and 15k with labor. that's the general impression i got anyhow... as we all know chevy > ford anyways muahahahha. oh crap where's my flame suit?
