Was going 41 in a 25mph zone in the village. Cop flashed his lights twice as a hint to slow down.....my gf saw....I didn't.....kept going and got pulled over. Ended up getting a warning....cop was cool as can be.

I just told the him that I didn't see his hint and didn't know the limit in the village, plain and simple. Truth didn't hurt that time.

Was that through the old LITH area, by the lake? With the police station right there, I crawl through at exactly 25mph (I drive through there every day to avoid traffic at Randall and Algonquin).

They are pretty cool cops around here... nobody has given me grief about my missing front plate or tinted windows (on this car or my previous). I'm glad they value more important parts of the law that I'm following rather than those nitpicky things... :D
