quite the contrary to revhappy... i'm jumping onto the rx8 band wagon. :D it's been a long time coming.

my first love was the '97 3000gt vr-4
went on to the wrx, learned of the sti and liked that a lot too. i stuck with my preference of the wrx for a while because of the pricing and all that it has to offer.

the past 2 months have been a battle cuz that's when i first heard of the rx-8. i tended to stay away from rotaries cuz of all the problems i heard people had with them. but after browsing through this awesome forum for about 2 months maybe?... i have been swayed. the rx-8 is just an awesome car... too awesome to be passed up. honestly though, the main thing that did it for me was... not the performance (frankly the torque turns me off)... but the INTERIOR of the car. it is just gorgeous. especially the tachometers.

well i thought i'd share my thoughts with you guys and i look foward to getting a MAZDA RX-8!! :D well like i said... it's been a long time coming. i just needed a little common sense knocked into me (which you guys did for me) and i am now a rx fan.

thanks for everything guys. i look foward to reading up on a lot more info about the rx. peace:cool:

EDIT: sidenote: changed background desktop from a pic of an '04 wrx to a lovely veolocity red rx-8 :)

That's the way I look at it too.

Glad to here of your decision -- I doubt many of us will be dissappointed.

I would have to agree, inside and out it is an awesome design.
That is why I would never consider an Evo or Sti, just too 'Datsun 510' for me. Putting a powerful motor in an old econobox body does not make it a 'good' car. If it did we would all be lined up for the new Turbo Neon.
I see the only reason for the Evo etc. is rally competition, where the entrants are limited to a 'two litre' class - and to win you better have the fastest car under 2000cc. End of story.
