I bet if petit got their tuning issues taken care of, blitz would move their release schedule up :) epitrochoid 11-10-2004, 11:52 AM any word from HKS on FI? DOMINION 11-14-2004, 07:35 AM OK where did ZAKU get 26kg.m from? IZoomZoomI 11-14-2004, 01:30 PM it should be in that site somewhere, probably in japanese. webba_az 11-14-2004, 02:31 PM Not that this means anything, just figured I would post it... from Dec 2004 Super Street DOMINION 11-14-2004, 06:32 PM WOW! I cant wait, Thanks webba az. it should be in that site somewhere, probably in japanese. Man I cant read Japanese and my Japanese to English book sucks... IZoomZoomI 11-14-2004, 11:38 PM yeah this is the system i'm waiting for. is that the oil cooler in front or is it a intercooler (in that pic)? rotarygod 11-15-2004, 02:17 AM was just talking to my tech at mazda..he mentioned that mazdaspeed was developing a mazdaspeed supercharger that would retain the warranty if it is installed my mazda.. would rn about 2 to 3 grand tho If you have to pay $2-$3 thousand for a warranty that is just ridiculous. That warranty period is only a couple of years too. If you blew up a transmission it would only cost you about $600 to fix. Any other car parts shouldn't add up to that much in a couple of years. You'd better have a pretty damn unreliable car to justify a couple of thousand in warranty or repair work in such a short amount of time. For that price I'd just forget the warranty and take my chances. Odds are that you'd come out way ahead this way. IZoomZoomI 11-15-2004, 02:28 AM i think he meant that the sc was going to be 3k i think... IZoomZoomI 11-15-2004, 03:46 AM a old pic i dug up... funny the're using a roots type instead of a more effecient screw type charger, why? zaku 11-15-2004, 05:00 AM OK where did ZAKU get 26kg.m from? It's still there: http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m5393075 In the bottom of the picture of Biltz supercharger, there's a table, see the right side: トルク:ブリッツ 26kg・m the japaneses you can't read is the "torque" DOMINION 11-15-2004, 06:04 AM yeah this is the system i'm waiting for. is that the oil cooler in front or is it a intercooler (in that pic)? Yea me too. I think I would lean more to the SC then a Turb. I dont know. DOMINION 11-15-2004, 06:05 AM Cool thanks guys. wholehyperguy 12-19-2004, 10:05 PM Hi, I deal directly with Blitz North America. According to Bobby and William over there, The Blitz S/C kit is due March 2005. List MSRP will be around $6,500 for the kit however that is not set in stone. Now keep in mind, all the S/C kits they have released in US such as 00+ Celica, and the Scion Xa/Xb have had in past delays mostly due to having to create new software for US spec vehicles. As of now i have no HP or torque gains. This is not fact, but i do not think they have numbers yet for US spec RX8. When the kit is available we will be stocking, and anyone can order from Matt @ http://www.rx8garage.net hope this helps if no one listed this. WHguy IZoomZoomI 12-20-2004, 03:47 AM thats great news... 6500 is a bit steep, better be some good gains. therm8 12-20-2004, 01:07 PM $6500...that's too bad, I was hoping this kit would be reasonably priced. Oh well, I've waited this long, I'll just wait for the competition. mtnpass 12-20-2004, 08:07 PM I get all excited when news of FI comes across the forum. I have been disappointed so many times... I would like just to see a FI kit on the market, affordable or not. Just to be able to purchase one and maybe just maybe it would give all these other guys with quote "kit in the works", a kick in the pants to finish their kits. I know there are hurdles and when new platforms evolve it takes time, I just wish people and tuners alike would shoot it straight with us instead of building us up and then disappearing. Sorry to rant, I am just frustrated at the all too common delays due to this and that.. webba_az 12-21-2004, 12:02 AM mtnpass: I don't think any of these folks are trying to BS us.. they're just generally finding out how much of a bitch it is to deal with a new product.. it wouldn't shock me if we only had 2 viable mid-power FI options at this time next year whatsoever.. there's no point in any of these companies coming on here, getting our hopes up, and then leaving.. all that'll do is not make us buy anything from there at all, which I'm _POSITIVE_ isn't their motivation for posting here.. Would you rather no one posted anything? :) |
