Ok, where is this located on the car and what is its function.

First person to get it right gets a ride in my 2003 8

I'm guessing the rear bumper/license plate. Where else could it be?

If you mean the red rotor: Does it light up like the Dodge Viper's snakehead emblem?

Its a reflector / brake light on the rear bumper of the 8. I'm pretty sure.

It's the infra-red backup distance clearance warning transponder, of course..

Its the rear license plate/center bumper area, and the red rotor thing is a foglight.

Fog light, that's a good possibility, although a single fog light in the middle of the rear seems a little strange...but it is obviously some soft of light. I personally like the idea of it being a flamethrower
