just checked Mazda USA website, from now until Jan. 5th, Mazda is offering either 3.9% APR for 60 months OR $1500 cash back on remaining RX-8s. With this cash back on top of dealer discounts, I suspect there are some GREAT deals to be made on leftover '04s!

oops you are right! that was wishful thinking of me! 3.9% it is!

The thing is that dealers had 2000 off rebate from mazda before 11/02/2004, now they don't and we have 1500 off rebate, so expect same kind of deals.
