What a dumbass concept.... sucking on another's skin until a bruise forms due to an accumulation of blood...... Why the hell do kids do this? Why did I agree to this as a kid??? Honestly I need to know because I really don't see the sexual excitement in that

I had a bruise like that once, I got it back in high school. I showed it off too, except that it was because I got shot in the neck from 5 feet away while playing paintball. It really, really hurt.

My gf gives them to me all over my chest, back, and legs regularly. I like it when she gives them but hate the after effects.

you know...i wan't going to say anything, but i have to...maybe you all haven't been so caught up in the passion of the moment that you end up leaving a hicky...and i fell nothing but sorrow for you.

My GF hates them, but when i explained why they usually end up happening, that i am so focused on the extreme pleasure and joy of the moment, that i don't care about the reprucussions (sp?), she loves them now...because she knows at that moment, that i am totally lost...

I saw a girl with an entire hicky necklace, it was disgusting! I have nothing against them, but that was really unattractive and seems like she just did it for attention.

I've heard rumors that hickies can cause major damage to your blood vessels causing in some cases permanent cardiovascular issues. We can leave that one up to the Myth Busters on the discovery channel! :D

Hickeys are fun to give to your counterpart, but i do agree the after-effect sucks.

As I recall, DURING HIGH SCHOOL, hickies were a declaration of sexual activity, worn with pride and often used to mark a person's property. As far as them being attention-getters....that's exactly what they are. After I saw how immature they actually looked, I quit participating in the practice (and that was weeks ago :D ).

No offense to others, but IMHO... hickies make you LOOK like nasty gutter trash (not to say that they ARE so relax)

I don't like hickies. I've been given a hickie on my neck a couple times and I hated it. I don't think they feel good and they look stupid. However, biting is perfectly acceptable and encouraged. :D
