this series is great its very indept and you really get into it. here a summary on escaflowne . Van finel is the prince of vanelia he has to go on a mission to kill a dragon for a drag engerist which in turn means he passed his test and beacame king. Now with the drag engersit he cuts his finger and puts the dragengersit in escaflowne which is a guymelfe,(big Robot) after a while ziback comes and destroys his country and is after every county for power.

What's wrong with Escaflowne? We just watched the movie last night, actually(rented on Netflix- if you haven't tried it yet, it's GREAT!). It's pretty good anime. However, my current favorite is Inuyasha- I just wish Cartoon Network would get on with it and get the rest of the series.

escaflowne is pretty good. the movie version is a little different than the OVA series, bloodier too.

And i will have to agree with Elara on Inu Yasha. it is a great series. i could not wait for the rest of the episodes to show on Cartoon Network, so i bought the entire 102 episodes and movie on ebay. just to let you know, the are more than 106 episodes, so i don't even know how the series ends. i think in Japan, it is still going on. there is even a 3rd movie showing in Japan.

Other than DBZ I think Rouruni Kenshin is awesome. I've already seen the whole series years ago on my friends computer.

Kenshin is awesome! Didn't think many people knew about it, but yeah!
And Escaflowne movie's way better than the american dub of the series, but if you watch a fan subbed version of the original, the storys much MUCH freakier!
