I'll be there on Saturday the 31st. I'm in group 8 which is the 8:40, 9:20, 11:20 time frames if I remember correctly. My brother is coming along with me as well as my best friend from Orlando. He's coming down for it it. :)

I'm also hoping to go to the VIP day on Friday. I just need to talk to my dealer to get my invitation. :D

I'll be there on Sat at 9:00am. When I ordered the port installed options I asked my dealer to sign me up for the Friday session. He said he would put me on as soon as Mazda sent him the info on the event.

Anybody been to the Rev-It-Up VIP Events usually held the day before the regular event???

My dealer has informed me that he will send me 4 tickets to the Friday VIP Miami event 5/30/2003 and I was wondering what to expect.

Search the forum you'll find a few mentions of it.
As I recall you get to look at and sit in the RX-8 and possibly even get a ride (not "drive") on a course. Somebody actually posted a video from inside when they took the ride.

Hey guys, I and a bunch of my members will be there Friday.

I can fill you in on some details.

Friday is the VIP day for media, Mazda Clubs, and others.

An RX-8 or two will be there.

Friday you can do everything for free. Including the instructed autocross sessions.

There will be a test center where you can drive various Mazda vehicles through a short course. A Mazdaspeed Protege, a Miata, etc. The RX-8 is not on this list as far as I know.

I'll be there Friday, but unfortunately work calls the rest of the weekend.

If you could please post if the Ti-Grey car is there. I have heard it has not been to all events.
Thanks

Not sure if titanium gray will be there. From pictures of previous events, velocity red and winning blue have made appearances.

I'll be there on Saturday the 31st. I'm in group 13 which is the 9:40 checkin, 10:00, 12:20, 1:20 times.

Got 4 tickets to the Friday VIP event from my dealer, Boniface in Melbourne FL. They are on top of this!!

I'll be driving down Friday morning, a 4 hour drive from Daytona Beach.

I've emailed the RevItUp folks to see if they will let me put my RX-8 Florida Tag on one of the cars for a photos. Hopefully the t-gray will be there as that is what I have ordered.

The VIP day on Friday was fantastic. No lines, near unlimited rides. Go carts and lunch provided. IF ANYONE HAS A CHANCE TO GO TO THE VIP DAY ON FRIDAY, DO IT!!!!! IT IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO. I even got my wife to try the clinics, all of their staff was doing a great job coaching. I can not say enough for their patience and ability to communicate effectively with the novice drivers.

BTW. You can likely get in to the VIP Event Friday if you get your dealer to write a note on the back of his business card stating that he was not able to attend as a Mazda employee and that he would appreciate it if you would be admitted in his place.

Saturday, crowded, but still not too packed. Mazda has done a good job at limiting the number of registrants to the event. They had a waiting list of over 200 to do the Competitive Drive that had not pre-registered. TIP – Pre-register!!!!!

The Mazda Rep started up the Blue RX-8 (with rear lip spoiler). Smooth up thru and past 6k, not as loud as I would have liked. Maybe Borla will have a cure.

Also, some invited idiot stole the temp and fan speed knobs from the Red RX-8 on Friday. They have been to 7+ cities without theft, does not reflect well on our state.
