how many of you saw the car in the movie? though it hardly did anything (Except drive off into the night and stayed parked in a driveway), it sounded HELLA good, and i was just LOVING that color on it. if only that color came as an option. i was kinda iffy on that spoiler. it didn't look tooooo bad... but yeah. i was impressed with the sound of the car. wondering if they did anything special to it besides the spoiler, color, and stereo console.
anyways it was a great movie and seeing that car in the movie made the movie just that much better. i recommend seeing the movie. i'd give it a 7.5. much better than the first, but this is digressing. just want to hear your thoughts on the rx-8 in the movie. peace:D

Do ya think there was enough foreshadowing of the Phoenix in this movie :-). Still, better than the first one.

lefuton 05-05-2003, 07:52 PM hrm i honestly wasn't all that impressed w/ the car in the movie...but that may have something to do with seeing it in the flesh at the LA autoshow, the screen does it no justice. =)

it's known as the phoenix saga where jean grey also turns into dark phoenix and basically whups the crap outta everyone for a little while, not really evil, just sorta has her own agenda. the phoenix is kind of a different entity too. anyhow the entire story is really more than my mediocre post can do justice. which worries me about x3 hehe, how they gonna fit all that story in 2 hrs?
billdo 05-06-2003, 12:20 AM I loved the product placement of the rx8 badge, everyone in the theater now knows what car that was. Mazda hit a home run with marketing on this one. Oh, and back to the movie, I forgot what Rogue does when she touches someone, so that picture the kid drew of her and the ice guy kissing was funny as hell.

She absorbs their energy, power, and memories. In the comic book she is much more advanced because she permenatly absorbed ms marvels powers (flight, strength, invulnerability)
On Jean Grey...
In the comic she is in a cacoon under the ocean for a long time and emerges as the pheonix. Pheonix has great power and destroys a whole planet which makes her kinda "evil".
Makes you kinda wonder how they are gonna pull it off in x3.
btw, they did a wonderful job with nightcrawler.
