I always thought it was completely lame to name your car, untill i got my 8. Since i got it people have been naming it for me. Most common is at work, where it is referred to as "THE BLUE BEAST", but that is all going to change as I am now revealing...

I don't have a name for the 8 yet, I was thinking Deloris. Think Seinfeld, rhymes with.. but not sold on it yet. I need to think of a name that is both sexy and feisty.

I'm having trouble with the 8 because I'd like to give it a feminine name, but there's nothing feminine about the car, i.e. it doesn't get jealous when I look at other cars, and it doesn't mind when I beat the hell out of it when nobody is looking. j/k

Named her "Eileen" before I even got her in preparation for the flooded start attempts I might endure. It makes the time go by smoother when you're singing "Come on Eileen" instead of cursing for it to start.

I'm working on the purchase of my '8 right now, but my wife already calls it, "the other woman..."

Originally, the name was going to be an un-pronounced 'sound' akin to something like a 'chorus of angels'; think of "and lo a light shone down from heaven. And from on high could be heard a chorus of angels and He looked and saw that the RX-8 was good..." (forgive me for blasphemy :D )


anyway, 'the other woman' is where I stand right now... just my $0.02 :)
