Hercules 05-03-2003, 12:30 PM Hrmmm tough one.
I'd say either a McLaren F1 or just for pure looks.... an Aston Martin Vanquish :)
gazita123 05-03-2003, 12:54 PM Maclaren F1 is definately on my list.
Porsche Carrera GT would be a little more available and is absolutely stunning. I saw a prototype at the LA auto show a while back.
Lensman 05-03-2003, 01:20 PM Absolutely the Porsche. The best car ever built and the most beautiful in my opinion.
billdo 05-03-2003, 01:32 PM I was going to say f50 untill I saw that porsche.
Hercules 05-03-2003, 01:43 PM That Porsche is just a concept from what I understood....
OrangeBingo 05-03-2003, 02:00 PM Audi RS6 Avant with the full MTM modification package.

The RS4 is Avant only :p
StealthTL 05-03-2003, 05:32 PM Since its just a dream......
=====the McLaren, obviously,
=====now that Porsche is on my list (never seen it before),
=====I looked seriously at used Subaru SVX's for a long time,
=====used BMW 750 with the 12 cylinder, before 'I'Drive.
=====an original 'E' Type jag has got to be the sexiest...
=====Had a chance in the early Eighties to buy the original Aston Martin DB5 from 'Goldfinger' - the one with the machine guns etc - it was being sold by a bankrupt restaurant in Vancouver - ever since I have seen it in the press changing hands for many hundreds of thousands - I was THIS close!
See, I even DREAM 'used'! Pretty Sad!

The RS4 is Avant only :p
In this country you can only get the sedan. In Europe you can get an Avant with a standard tranny. Hence the "dream" part. Audi is known for making its most potent cars in Avant form. It is actually suprising that they made a sedan version of the RS6. They have been doing it since the Audi/Porsche RS2.

Having owned one of these, I have to say you are correct. My 750iL was amazing. I took 3 other people I work with down to the Rolex 24 hour race at Daytona a few years back and we had 4 adults in the car with 1 week of luggage each in the trunk and the cruise control set to 125mph on I-95 South. It was awesome! Talk about a true 4 seater sports car! It was land-yaght big, but power and smoothness like you can never imagine. Nothing else is like a V-12.

Boozehound 05-04-2003, 04:39 PM I'd be just happy with a 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO. Is that SO much to ask? ;)
chinx 05-04-2003, 09:22 PM hmm...
1964? did you know only 3 (THREE) of those cars were made that year? wonder how much the market value for each of those three cars is...probably enough to buy about 300 rx-8s :p
Boozehound 05-05-2003, 05:30 PM There were only 39 produced between 62-64, and only 37 left today. 64s are the hardest to find, and hence they bring a pretty penny at auction. In addition to being totally awesome at the track, the GTO really set the mark in styling. IMO, There aren't but maybe 1 or 2 cars ever produced that are in the same ballpark.
And if you ever got tired of owning it, you could buy an Enzo for a daily driver, and still have change left over to buy a fully loaded RX-8 for almost every day of the year. :D
Schneegz 05-05-2003, 06:07 PM 1954/55 Mercedes 300SL with the gull-wing doors.

Hey! I'm a third of the way there! :D
Even if I had enough money to buy a McLaren F1, I'd rather have a FLEET of Mazdas!
Die hard, baby.
Efini 8 05-06-2003, 11:11 PM Realistically my dream is to get the RX-8 :D but if money was no object I would say
Porsche 996/997 Turbo GT-3
Nissan Skyline R-34
McLaren F1
Ferrari Enzo or 360Modena
Lamborghini Murceilago
Mercedes SL500 Brabus edition or AMG
jbart1981 05-06-2003, 11:20 PM saleen s7 all I can say is daaaammmmnnnnn! it is a sweet car.
and all american concept to completion, not to mention enough downforce to drive upside down @ 200+mph
pelucidor 05-06-2003, 11:25 PM Honda S2000. Something I could afford to drive every day.
Oh all right then, I'll think big ----> Ferrari 360 Spider with a proper clutch and a long tunnel to drive through. All the power, handling, engineering and beauty I could ever want in a car.
Actually make that any mid-engined, convertible Ferrari.
