My family went out to lunch in Easter Sunday. In the parking lot of the restaraunt was a big ole' Bently, green, verrrry nice. I said to Dad:
"The temptation to scratch all along the side of that is incredible"
Dad replied:
"No, better to get a black pen and put a 'W' on the number plate."
This puzzled me until I saw the number plate.
'ANK.5358"

You'll need to explain this for anyone not Aus or Brit you know... ;)

(and remind me not park any of my cars near your disreputable family!)

Yep, but I wasn't sure wank was a word used in the USA. Like I said, I'm not parking any of my cars near his family (or him).

You should look up the performance figures of Bentley cars. They can see off the RX-8 usually, often around corners! It may be big but it ain't no 'tank'... (And I'm not saying this because I'm British, Volkswagen own Bentley now so the national pride is kind of lost.)

So called because the founder of the company was called 'TreVoR'. Hey, I've spent $80,000 on a 'Trevor!'. Doesn't have the same 'ring' does it.

Ahhh, nice associations: Bentley = Volkswagen = German = TANK. :)

Attached a Bentley from Autostadt Wolfsburg, is quite nice there... Not really a tank :)

No offence meant against Deutschland Maverikk (and I don't think you took any). I'm still in love with a girl from Dortmund and I wear a Junghans watch so I haven't escaped the influence of your country.

It would be wunderbar if Bentley could actually manufacture the car you show with the paint as it looks by accident under the show lights. The mottled green effect looks like a precious stone and very effective!

No no, definitively not. Just kidding. Before: "The Germans to the front". Today: "Germany is totally pacifist....". Nice to hear you know this country and have something in share :)

I attach another one for you, enjoy! I can send you larger ones (1600x1200) if you want/like.

You know, I like this ....Lens-Man!

That sucks RX-3 that you would contemplate scratching somebody's car, ANY car. I had some asshole key my car all the way down the driver side and across the back. For what reason? It happen almost 1.5 years ago and it still pisses me off when I think about it. Don't be a d*ck.
Bentley's by the way have something like 400-500 HP and 600 Lb ft of torgue, they are actually fairly quick for big cars. The new 2 door coupe I saw at the NY Auto Show actually looked pretty good.

Nothing's wrong with them. The point is that they are a small company and therefore it is sad that the biggest privately owned British car company is a small one. TVR cars are superb. The name (TreVoR) is dire though ;-)
