Anyone know what the mechanical / powertrain / engine differences between the RX-Evolv and the RX-8 are that would account for the claimed 30HP difference?

i guess it's down to porting and revs... the MSP-RE had like a 10k operational redline, right?? ... i seem to remember that the peak horsepower was @+9k or something... could be my imagination...

... and yeah, the engineers on the RENESIS probably did make a few tradeoffs (like that 30hp way WAY up there) for a more driveable engine (read: bottom end force ;)).
