View Full Version : More rear spoiler pics?
91vert 04-30-2003, 09:11 PM I am thinking about adding the rear spoiler to my car, and I don't want to procrastinate too long. The problem is that I have not seen any pics of it other than the rear pic of the black car at the Minneapolis auto show, and I want to make sure I like it before calling my dealer.
I ordered Titanium. Does anybody have spoiler pics on different colored cars....and maybe taken at some different angles?
maverikk 05-01-2003, 02:36 AM You can go to this website and check the colors and spoiler and so on...

I will attach some pics of spoilers. Enjoy, Norberto.
maverikk 05-01-2003, 02:48 AM These were the Mazda options.... The standard "lip spoiler" which we (Europeans) will get is much smaller, nearly not visible...
red_base 95 05-01-2003, 07:24 AM I like the look of the lip spoiler, seems to be very clean and unobtrusive. I prefer it to the Mitsu eclipse/St. Louis Arch knock- off, and the MazdaSpeed piece just looks out of proportion.
I guess I prefer the clean understated look.
B-Nez 05-01-2003, 10:13 AM I have to agree with red_base. While I think the standard spoiler is relatively tasteful and looks pretty good, I fell in love with the RX-8 BEFORE the spoiler. And truth be told, one of the things I love is the clean, flowing lines of the car. That spoiler would spoil that for me (pun intended:D ).
maverikk 05-01-2003, 02:01 PM I specially liked the "Gateway arch" part of it. As I said: I believe the U.S./North America version comes WITHOUT a spoiler, the European version should be with lip spoiler as standard fit...
I really like the lip spoiler, too.....
chinx 05-01-2003, 04:46 PM i really like the lip spoiler. i wish it'd come w/ the gt-package in the 'states. too bad. i like the mazdaspeed one, too, though i think it'd only look good with the rest of the msp body kit
91vert 05-02-2003, 09:51 PM Thanks for the pics, but I was hoping for a side shot with the "arch" spolier.
I wish we could get the lip spoiler in the U.S.. I like that the best. It is the most tasteful looking one IMO.
I think I'll hold off on the spoiler and maybe get an aftermarket one. I would assume that some company will be selling the european lip spoiler version aftermarket?

I agree with the both of you B-Nez! IMHO, the RX-8 looks the best in only two ways, either "naked" :D (in original form) or as the complete MazdaSpeed. Nothing in between. Even so, I like the original the very best.

I don't know this wings is the original product of RE-AMEMIYA or not.
Cihuuy 05-06-2003, 03:01 PM EASTMOON: yeah... thats looks like the RE-Amemiya rear Spoiler-GT (Carbon Fiber??)
in stock form i dont think it will look nice... just my .02
but with a body kit, if any, it will look better...
I second what DTECH, B_NEZ and Red_base have said... but I like the mazdaspeed body kit and wing better... :D

take a trip to the UK later this year. find an rx-8 in the color that matches yours. relieve that rx-8 of its lip spoiler and bring it back home in your luggage......
.....on second thought that seems kinda complicated. :p you might be able to order it through your dealer or an aftermarket supplier at some point and it would probably cost less ;)
