Well, I would just like to start off by saying that this forum has been extremely informative, and entertaining. Unfortunately, I am heading off on a 'business trip' for a few months, so i will not be checking in for quite some time. Keep up the good work, and someone better give me a fill in on all the rumors when i get back in July. (That's when I'm hoping to take ownership on my baby anyways) To those of you First Allocation types, I hope you enjoy your rides while I'm gone, and hopefully we'll be able to get some of our cars together this summer after i get mine.

At any rate, it's been great, but I'm off to do my duty... Trust me, I will be having dreams at night about driving in my new car when i get home though!

Best of luck on your 'business trip'.:D

I honestly don't know how you spend that much time in a metal tube under water, but I am glad our country has people willing to make sacrafises.

My brother-in-law had a lot of long underwater business trips. He actually prefers the cleaner canned air to being topside.

Best of luck.

My husband's dad is a retired sub captain- I admire anyone who can spend long amounts of time in one. Good luck, and come back safely.

Crazy Wife,
There is a new RX-8 brochure out just yesterday. Go to your local dealer and pick him up one. He'll dig it it's pretty nice. See if they have the latest Fuel magazine it also has an article on the 8.
Good luck and tell him we said hi!

Im just trying to make him have a better time on his "business trip". i know that he would die if i sent him something on his new car he has been obsessing about.. =) what i would REALLY like to send him is an email from Mazda with the VIN, but they haven't sent that yet. We have only gotten one email saying that they have started on it and we should get another email giving it to us.. but its been a while. =)

'Fuel' is a Mazda produced magazine. Check the dealer for this as well.

Hi Jaime,

Tell Crazi we all said hello and hope he is doing fine. if you could swing it radio shack might have in the xmen2 rx-8 zipzap car. in case you don't know it is a pretty small radio control version of the rx-8 in the movie. he could "drive" that in his down time while waiting to get back to drive his real one.

I looked for the Fuel magazine at Barnes and Nobles and didn't see it. I have gotten him the zip zap car and he has it with him. Thanks though!! =) I went to a local mazda dealership, NOT the one we bought ours through.. and they said they only had two left of the new brochure and WOULDN'T GIVE ME ONE. they offered to mail one to me if they get more. I was like.. i have to mail this out to my husband by next week. THEN they had the nerve to give me thier card and say that if University Mazda falls through to call them. Its like.. HELLO.. you guys aren't willing to help me now! why would i come back?! errr... so the dealership that we bought ours through is mailing me the brochure. so hopefully i will get it in time. I asked that dealer if they had heard of Fuel magazine and he hasn't heard of it. Is it maybe on the web somewhere??? Thanks for all your help.. if you hear of anything new... please let me know for future maildrops.. =)

Thanks!!

Jaime

Return of the Rotary!" on the front cover, and some neat RX-8 Post-It Notes inside the back cover. My dealer had several copies out on the brochure table, but I guess some may not make them available to the public. Good luck!

Go to the dealer you ordered the car from. My dealer usually sets them in a waiting area for cutomers to read. I only have one or I'd send Fuzzy one for ya.
Good luck.
