Is this not totally asinine?
First of off...It clearly makes the point that our "allies" expect us to carry the entire burden of removing the evil from that world. You don't like the way we handle things? Go do it yourself! Second, other countries have no right to place their ethics into our government. Remember when we told the UN where to shove it?
I know it's probably a minority opinion in England, but still, it's way out of line.

Nothing surprising here, the Guardian after all is the NYT, LA Times <insert liberal paper of choice here>, etc of the UK :)

You had me until you said: "other countries have no right to place their ethics into our government. "
The U.S. government does that all the time with their foriegn policy. It happens quite a bit with Canada. If Canada doesnt go along with what the U.S. wants we pay for it in other ways...

Quebec isn't all bad...I've been to some fantastic bars in Montreal. Montreal is a great place to party.

there's quite a difference between Colombia and England. Even Canada and England. England is a powerful nation with ample resources to handle international issues as it sees fit.

The nerve of those Brits, sticking their noses in another country's business. It's our job to do that.
