Red RX-8 is on "Fear Factor" tonight

Do you know how they are using it or just showing it off. Hope they dont smash it all up. I wonder if they are giving it back to Mazda or what after they screw with it.

The winner will receive mazda RX8 with $100,000 prize.

Argh, I wish that could be me. Is that a pre-production model or production model? That sure looks HOT in red. Awesome.

I missed the first 5 minutes but it looks like they are going to give it to the winner of tonights show. I'm sure it a pre-production car and who ever wins it has to wait for the final production car. BTW, none of the contestants know anything about the car. I'm going to watch the show again in three hours when the play it on the west coast. Gotta love DirecTV :D

just caught the end of the show, and saw the winner jump into the car :)

I thought it was involved in a competion or something. They could put the final four left in the car, drive in circles at max speed and whoever throws up first is eliminated. Then they shall learn of the greatness of the 8. Downside is the car wont have that new car smell anymore.

How are they giving the car away to US citizens when our cars are suppose to not have been built yet? Did they juss make a couple US spec cars just for contest like this? Makes me so mad random people are gettin the car, when they don't even appreciate what the 8 is.

It looks like it is a base model (the wheels look like 16"). But who cares when you're getting the car for free...

Fear factor is a perfect launch vehicle (no pun intended) for the RX-8 - the other imports will fear this car.

it was a little annoying to hear some of the women call it "cute".

Some one was talking about being a two seater. They should have popped the rear doors out or something. They should do it like "The Price Is Right" with the chicks sitting in it, show it off all nice. But hey, if no one buys the car the price will go down, Right?;)

Can anyone post the fear factor clip of the rx-8? Also if it's a preproduction model wouldn't it have been abused and not as nice as the production models?

I cannot believe I missed the show. I allways try and watch it. That sucks. Ohhhh well

lol yea. did u see that part where that chick said something like "i want this car, we already bonded" and that guy said "bonded with the back seats?" lol

Kudos for Mazda, the marketing is definitely going all out for the RX-8. Good for them !

X-men, Fear Factor, R&T's 65 pages issue, etc etc.

This is for sure going to a turning point for Mazda, either back to the top as one of the more competitive Japanese car maker or disappear back to the cellar and wait for another big break.

They gave away 2 of them! The runner-up and the winner both got an RX8! Bastards! :p

Yeah, that one chick did call it cute, but 2 of the other contestants said at different points in the show that they "don't even care about the $100k" they "just want the car".

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed that they didn't show the car off a little more than they did. At the beginning though when the host is driving the car up that twistie you can hear the tires squealing.... :D

I'm not sure the seats would go back far enough for some of those women to have been able to drive the car. Probably why my wife calls the show Boob Factor.

First the 20yr. old from Ohio, now a contestant from frear factor. I wonder if they even know that it is a rotary engine. Hah! Im sure they will wear it down a lot faster than ppl on this board. Grrrr..... I want my 8.

Also I wonder if it was Joe driving or maybe some one from R&D driving it up until the point to where he came out of the car. I could have sworn it was a commercial until he came out of the car.

I was washing clothes and I heard the" contestants will be playing for a new Mazda" I didn't even wait I looked up and there it was on the screen. Did you hear when the host called it badazz. Ha! I called everyone so they could see it.
