I don't know about anyone else but I have been jonesing for these bigtime, especially if they come with the extra sets of wheels as I am currently building a heavily customized plastic model of my 8 and the rims that come with these kits are awesome. :) Now if they would only come in yellow...sigh

Hey I have been looking for a long while as well an haven't seen them anywhere. The closest I have found it the black rx-7's. If anyone finds them let us know what store.

I've found a lot of the cooler ones at Target, sometimes Toys R us (too pricey) and Wal-Mart. There's always online diecast places and ebay but it's not much fun as a collector to buy stuff that way, much more fun to "score on hunts" :) (I collect hotwheels etc. too but that's probably obvious)

sweet! hopefully you'll post it up, I have a ton of work on mine, I plan on going all out and shaving stuff, molding seams etc. I'm going to try and build it to look like what I wished my 8 looked like. I even found some rims to match the ccw's I dream of, i also have several other kits that are in progress though so it might be a while. :)

I think quite a few people picked up on the Jada r/c 8, (including me, heck I can even drift with it!) for the price it is a lot of fun. It's probably been discussed before but my ultimate plans for a mini me are to pick up an HPI (www.hpiracing.com) or Associated (www.teamassociated.com) on road chassis and then go with the airplane rotary engine, the power to weight/displacement of that motor in an r/c car would be insane, one of these days I'm going to build it!

there's a thread on here somewhere where someone actually disassembled the rotary and was showing all the pieces etc. it's pretty awesome if someone cares to dig it up.

My husband bought me a blue one at Target so I could put it in my office at work. Gotta find a titanium one, tho!

i rarely, if ever see RX-8's at Wal-Mart or ToysRUs..I found all the 1:32 models...but only one of the Titanium 1:24's and it was still in the Import Racer shipping box with Supra's and Celica's...it was the only one out of 6 cars...i got lucky...

gotta' agree there at least some of the 8 stuff is hard to find, I was shocked when I found my 1/18th at Toys r us, the ones I have a really hard time finding are the Muscle Machines 1/64th ones, so far I have found a yellow (yay!!) and a blue one, but compared to the 1/64th import racer ones, these have been next to impossible to find in a store. Always sem to find Evo/Sti/Rx7 in the 1/24th, I have 3 of the 7 (including a yellow!)but just can't seem to bring myself to grab an STI or EVO. If the wife will let me I would like to get the Initial D FC that is out there, a first gen would be nice too :)

edit: don't know if it has been mentioned, but Nikko has a 1/18th RC Silver 8 out, similar to the jada but smaller and no lights (I think). Also Toys R Us has a 1/43 of the 8 in blue (R/c as well) with little extra wheels, turbo(?!?) and a "drift mode".
