Extrapolating a bit:
.......................OS 260 Rotor Wankel........................Mazda Renesis

Now if I can just figure out how to adapt the OS engine to the Mazda tranny:D

That is SO cute! I might buy one just to put on my desk as an ornament. We could build radio controlled model RX-8s with real rotary engines. ;)

Yeah if it's cheap I will think about buying it and putting it into a RX-7 RC car.

I thought Mazda had the exclusive license for the Wankel Rotary?
In either case, that's really cool!
I used to be into R/C planes and still have a partially completed one sitting in my closet....and it's even an ARF (almost ready to fly)!....LOL

The OS wankle engine has been around for at least 10 or more years. I can remember seeing it in adds when I was a kid. As for Mazda having the exclusive license, that was for cars I believe and i would imagine lapsed years ago. Somebody told me that John Deer actually owns most to the patents on rotarys now. Something about they could be adapted for most any fuel. Thus making an economical farm engine.
Don't quote me on any of this accept to say that the R/C wankle has been around for a while.

They've been around since the 70's. Sometimes they come up on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3128637212&category=19164

I'm surprised I had never seen them before, then again, I wasn't a hard core R/Cer.
