Christopher Reeve smiles during a press conference in this May 7, 2003 file photo, on Capitol Hill in Washington. Reeve, the star of the 'Superman' movies whose near-fatal riding accident nine years ago turned him into a worldwide advocate for spinal cord research, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004, of heart failure while at his New York home, his publicist said. He was 52. (AP Photos/Lawrence Jackson, File)
RIP big man, we will never forget you.

SAD SAD Sad ..
whosyourbaba 10-11-2004, 02:01 AM just heard too from a friend. sad day. He was truely a hero.
shelleys_man_06 10-11-2004, 02:11 AM I wouldn't go as far as saying Christopher Reeve is a hero. He was a good man, and he did his best to further push for spinal cord research. :)
Bankotsu 10-11-2004, 02:29 AM Ken Caminiti died also. He was a baseball player. Superman dying is bigger news though.
rotarygod 10-11-2004, 02:43 AM Ken Caminiti died too? I didn't hear that.
whosyourbaba 10-11-2004, 04:10 AM he played a hero, then in real life showed it. he spent a lot of his time pushing for research and showed his heart and passion for helping others. Good man none the less.

My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
MadRonin 10-11-2004, 10:13 AM He once said that he regretted some of the things he did as a younger man, but was happy that he could help make a difference later in life. He did that to the end.
Rest in peace, Chris.
