hi, guys. I live in London ON. I am gonna get a 8 next month. And I definitely need to change the tires for the damn snow...

Since I dont know much about tires :s ... i really need help about what kind of tires should I get. Well, also, i dont want change tires all the time;
should i just get all season tires so that i can use them for the whole year? am i able to get the tires at the mazda dealer or what?

the last quesion: anyone who lives in Toronto or wherever in Ontario drove their 8 all last winter? how was it?

these questions are silly :s, but thank you for answering them. I really do need help...

easy answer, the Rx-8 is a high performance car. To get the most out of it year round, you have to have a high performance tire in the summer and a good snow tire in the winter. Your best bet is get some 17' rims with snow tires and swith the rims every season.

heh. i was faced with the same questions but i live on the west coast where there's rarely any snow in the city ...

if you get snow every year and plan to drive your RX in it, definitely get winter tires + wheels. the tires that come with the RX are high performance summer tires that will be detrimental when the weather hovers around freezing.

getting a cheap set of wheels ensures that you don't damage your stock wheels through road salt, sand, etc. plus it's cheaper and easier to change back and forth.
