After the race, the guys let me take the car out for a 20 minute spin. After creeping through the roll cage and wedging myself into those racing seats we had a great little run. Took a snap to commemorate the blessed event.
The butt dyno is telling me this car is making more power than my 8 in stock condition, the service manager heard that Mazda Canada did something to the ECU. Could they have reflashed the ECU with a custom competition map? Anyone have any contacts "on the inside" at Mazda Can that might be able to find out and/or get a copy of that flash?

I bought my car and get it serviced at the dealership that put the car together. I don't recall them mentioning that the ECU had been re-flashed - they did do exhaust, sway bars, roll cage, body kit, MS brake pads etc. Kevin at Dave Wood Mazda in Newmarket built the car for Mazda Canada. Kevin is a great guy and I'm sure would be happy to tell you exactly what he did to the car. I think he also monitors this forum as DMW-motorsports, so you could PM him and ask for details.....if they did re-flash the ECU I doubt they'll let any of us know!
