Hi,
Thinking of getting '05 RX-8 A/T, what is the true hp 189 or 197? Is it true that A/T models have softer suspensions and only 17"` wheels even if GT equipped?
BTW only saw 4 speakers upfront (one speaker per door & one tweeter per A pillar, how many speakers do you get/what size and where are they located for GT model?
Thanks!

It said 197 on the sticker and you can get 18'' with the sports package option, which is what I got, as for the speakers I dont quite remember need to go look.

I drive an AT, 18" yes with GT, speakers...I think it be 8, but you can check that out yourself. Don't forget any HP for any car that is listed is the average one gets, so you may get one a bit lower etc. Suspension is softer yes.

hey, the AT GS is the one with the softer suspension, so no worrys about the GT. Also its important to note that the car makes the same power curve as the manual, but due to the torque converter, the motor cannot rev higher then 7000 ( i think) so because of that your peak is only 197hp. Also the car does have 9 speakers, 5 front ( 2 by your knees, 2 tweeters, 1 in the centre of the dashboard) and 4 rear ( behind rear head rest)
