RX-8 Sound?

Hey,...

Somone told me that the RX-8 being naturally aspirated and a different configuration to the RX-7 would sound much more throaty.... does anyone have any idea how true that would be.... Or indeed does anyone have a recording of the sound of a Renesis engine or similar?

I have heard what the new Renesis rotary engine sounds like. It does sound much more throaty then the 13B rotary engine. A while back when Maxda had only developed their second concept RX-8 model, their official website had a link to information on the RX-EVOLVE and it featured the Renesis rotary engine sound. But the website has been updated, i don't know if you can stilll find the link.

web link....

Ahhh,

I'll have a look... which website? mazda.com or mazdausa.com ???

I don't suppose you can remember the filename... or still have a copy?

I think most of the mazda web sites give me a stupid error page saying I should get netscape 4.x when I have A later build than Netscape 7.0 on my machine... I hope their engineers are smarter than their web developers!

What else...

What else would you suggest I use...

Seriously....

Konqueror
Galeon
Mozilla

???

I actually run a Mozilla 1.0 since it's slightly newer than Netscape 7.0... I assume that in order to make that comment you've only used 4.x versions or Netscape yourself???

There's only a little sarcasm here, since Microsoft don't actually provide an OS, or a browser for the computer I'm using...

Full Sarcasm Mode on...

Would you prefer that I threw away this 2 processor 2Ghz computer with 3Gb of memory.. for a PeeCee which wouldn't even take any of my 64bit 66Mhz PCI cards. Hey... where DO I get a tripple headed "AGP" graphics card that can do 1600x1200 on all three screens?

Really, there are a number of PCI cards here that have never had drivers for ANY version of windows and probably never will... even though I think you can plug them in with the extra bit of edge connector dangling in the air.

I'd be amused to hear an answer to this one... but it's all in good humour really, I don't intend to upset anyone.... just point out that not everyone is shackled to the Microsoft rollercoaster.

But just so this isn't totally off topic... I've had a go in the gimp-

i am most definetly getting mine in silver, this car looks a s good as my neighbors porshe boxter.

to go back off topic we have reverted to netscape 4.7 here at home because it seems everywhere i went with newer versions there were banners telling me that the new version was not supported. it was a real pain in the A@$!!
