I have recently purchased the SRS video game for PS-2. I am glad to see a new game out there that has the RX-8 as one of the cars you can race and modify :D also another great aspect about this game is that it allows you to have an idea of what your 8 would look like with other body kits ,rim/tire combos, exhaust and engine mods that realy exist like NOS,AEM,Veil Side, Mazda Speed, Volk,GREDDY ect....Every car in this game even has the same exhaust "note" that it has in real life, I'm not lying my 8 with aftermarket exhaust on SRS's sounds just like my 8 with a Borla setup in real life!!! I'm amazed at how much detail the game designers put into it. I also must add that you ARE able to turbo charge your 8 :D :D :D. Rite know my 8 is pushing 585HP & 398LBS, I must say it's a great feeling to blowe by an EVO and 350Z like they don't have sh!t!!! Now to make this happen in REAL life, I'm still working on that :rolleyes:. Just thought I would give all you RX-8 driving game plays a heads up on this one, I believe you will agree with me ;)

I was going to get this game, but GMR magazine gave it a mediocre review and said to wait for NFS2 underground. However, you have made me wanting it again. So you say it is an excellent game? Please persuade me to waste my money on it, if indeed you think it is worth that. :)

I have that game, don't bother with it, either wait for NFSU 2 or wait for GT4, which even if you can't do body mods, it will be way more realistic. I can't stand SRS, I had an RX-7 and after modding it out heavily, it had the worst handling and through the rev range, it was terrible. It would just jump from 3 to 5k and hit the limiter so fast, I would get killed off the line.

so yeah, just wait for GT4

I do agree that they way the cars rev is a little "strange" even with 500HP a 300HP car would kill me off the line but I would all ways catch them up top, as for handling did you try out installing the "upgraded" tires??? I was having the same problem it was kinda like driving on ice but the better tires fixed that, or MAY BE you'r just going in to the corners to fast :p .

personally, i love driving a stock 8 and out running the cops on the highway. ive had it up to 140 mph in 5th. in heavily modded form, i couldnt get it to go into 6th gear, even though i would be going 170 mph (its the problem with the in-game automatic). dont flame, i usually use manuals in games but my steering wheel buttons for the shifts dont work, and theres only one wheel setup. what a great game this is.

I picked up the game a couple days ago. I think it's great. The cars actually sound like the real cars. I bought a 350 Z after the RX8.

The 350 sucked with regards to handeling so I sold it . I now have the RX8 with 660 HP and a 910 HP Supra .
