7:30's fine. And about the manual, I am missing the engine manual. I guess I am gonna have to shell out if -whenever- I need it.

Where is Danny? and the rest of the crew? Liquid? There was also a guy from Grapevine, and one more from Plano. Any of the 7 guys interested in having a good ol' cold one on Thursday 'round 7:30 @ BJs of Adison?

Ajax: did you cross posted this on the 7 forum?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On a different note, are any of you interested in attending this:

Hey I got a black rx8. Live in north dallas. and know right where bj's is @. I would love to join in on "group" rx-8 events. itjust looks so cool to have that many rx8's gathered in one place.... Is it a new guy friendly group? do you just park and drink. or do you all go for a drive around as a group. which would definitly be cool.

Ajax, too bad you didn't hang out with us in L.A. We went to BJ's in Brea. They have their own brewery and their beers, unlike the ones you guys get in Dallas, taste correct.

tell me about the event?
WHERE: Texas Motor Speedway, Fort Worth TX
WHEN: 10/24/2004
WHAT: The TMS road course event uses the road that is inside the speedway oval. The course is a smooth asphalt surface. Cones will be placed on the road and ramp area to make a challenging course to drive. You will not be driving on the oval banks. Most events have 4 runs per driver. The Texas Region uses all the National approved classes and the supplemental classes also. Quite working mufflers are required.
All cars are required to pass a technical inspection, (tech). The inspectors will be making sure that loose items inside the car are removed. That items in the truck are secured. The battery must be securely mounted. Tire condition with no cord showing or wheel bearings with excessive play. All lug nuts attached and wheel hub caps removed. Brake fluid level and operation. Seat belts are required.

Helmets are required. Snell type M or SA, '95 or later only. There are a few loaner helmets available. They are required by driver and passengers along with the use of seat belts. Passengers are allowed but there are conditions. See what the conditions are for that event at the drivers meeting.

All competitors are required to work some time during the event. This is not a hard job or one that takes special training. Basically some time during the event you will be required to help. For most people that means picking up cones that another car might have displaced. There are other worker positions for people that have running limitations. There are several people at an event so you share the task with others.

All cars are required to have visible class designations and numbers. The use of shoe polish on the glass is prohibited. The markings should be in contrasting color to the vehicle. We do not recommend the use of duct tape. The best tape for temporary use is painters masking tape. (blue color) You can purchase magnetic backed vinyl material from a sign store such as Protape Signs.

There is food, shelter, gas, air and stores within 1 mile of site.

There is not a designated time for a lunch break. The event runs all day so you have to work in the time for meals.

If you are a minor, below age 18, you are required to read and sign the minor insurance waver. All visitors and competitors are required to read and sign the event insurance waver.

Maybe not, maybe you won't qualify for B Stock. I would ask TPryor/eccles or anyone else with some involvement in autoX and Solo events.
