Just wondering how long it took everyone to get their welcome kit? Does it even exist? I know my g/f got hers about a month after buying her Mazda3, and I've had my 8 for more than two months now. I don't even want it that much, except for the touch-up paint, which I have an immediate use for. So, do we even get one? I seem to remember some people talk about it. And if so, how long did it take after the purchase?

8 months, doesn't sound like your getting it! I received mine 2 months after I bought the car, then I received another one about 2 weeks after that?! Call Mazda N.A. 1800 222 5500 I know it by memory now, isn't that sad. Haha. Tell them you never received it and your friend did, you need touch up paint, they should send it, but who knows with Mazda sometimes. Good luck , bye.

I got a kit yesterday in the mail from my dealer that had about 2 dozen gourmet chocolate chip cookies in it. They were awesome! I don't think that's the same kit though!

Welcome kit?

I got a thank you letter from my dealer within a week or so of picking up the car. Coupons for free touch up paint and 10% off any dealer purchased and installed parts or accessories.

I picked up the touchup paint on Saturday and let myself get sucked into buying the rotary lapel pin. If I wear it on a lapel-less shirt it'll look like Capt. Kirk's communicator. Can I sneak into Trekkie conventions. ;)

Well guys it sent out from the dealer.. so if you been waiting.. its cuz the dealer has been lazy with paper work.. I just got mine today.. one month from buying.. I will not use the paint.. I dont think anyone should.. its cheap

I got my v.red touch-up paint on Monday. Took delivery on 8/6/04.

I'm going to use my paint to touch up my remote control RX-8 ;)

It took two months to get mine (purchased 8/03) from Mazda (came in the steering wheel lookin case) and then got just a bottle of touch-up from the dealer a week later, in a bubble wrap mailer bag.

It took about 4 months before I got mine, but then I got another 2 identical ones in the following 2 weeks.

Bought car and took delivery in Aug/03, took 2 months for the Mazda (Steering wheel case) welcome kit to arrive. Two weeks later got a bottle of touchup paint (bubble pack envelope) from the local dealer I bought the car from and when the dealership changed ownership, 6 months ago, I got my third bottle (again, just in a bubble wrap envelope).

The first welcome kit was cute and I appreciated the paint, but when I got the second and third bottles, I wished it was something else... like I dunno... a Zaino Sample kit? lol.

Three bottles of touchup paint... sheesh... someone must have told them how I drive. (like I stole it!)

Well after 5 months I called mazda and requested one. I guess we will see what comes of that!!

I took advice from this thread, called Mazda, and got the kit yesterday (only about a week after I called). Not a lot to get excited about - like a previous mention, a welcome letter and a bottle of touch-up paint.

So, in the mail yesterday, i got a little "welcome kit" from Mazda, thanking me for buying my RX-8 and giving me info on the online stuff they have (MyMazda), etc. And in there was a bottle of touch up paint - matching the color of my car of course!

How cool! This was on my shopping list to go buy (already have 2 rock chips in the hood and front fenders) this weekend, but they saved me a trip.

Did everyone else get this?

Note to the newbies.......buy a bottle of silver (the exact match for the wheels) and wait for your color to show up in the mail from Mazda.
