I'm trying to decide if I should go- my car should be here by then, so I won't need to go to see the RX-8 again, but I wouldn't mind test-driving the Mazda line-up, and who knows, maybe I'd be halfway decent at the racing stuff with a little help.

I'm a little worried that I might be completely out of my league, but I won't know unless I try it! Anyone else going to be going?

I'm considering it. I am waiting to see how some plans for the summer work out to make sure I'll be able to go. Don't worry about 'your league' - these types of things are great learning experiences for just about every skill level. I've done a couple autocrosses and a couple different driving things like this and they're always fun and you usually learn some helpful things. Definitely sign up and go if you can do it!

I was actually waiting around on it as well. I finally decided to try to sign up over the weekend and it looked like a lot of slots were full. I got frustrated with the site and guessing which slots would be open, so I decided to send them an email and ask what was still available.

I have no autox or racing experience. Who cares. From what it sounds like, a lot of people going don't. And besides, its a good learning experience. I'll wear my n00b hat if I decide to go, and we can have our own competition for worst driver ;)

Hey, everybody! I signed up for that event since I'll be living in VA by then, 9:40AM I believe my race time is. I hope to have my RX-8 by then, as well. I've never autocrossed before, but I personally can't wait. Not really worried about the competition because I've got to learn somewhere and you can't beat the price if it includes instruction. Plus, the Mazda6 we'll be driving is an automatic so it will be a little easier. From what I've heard so far, it should be a really good time, both on and off the track.

Sunday 9:00AM ought to be a good time. Mine is on Sat. I've heard the later, the better because tire rubber lays down on the pavement (from previous races) offers more traction. Oh, well, it will be fun regardless. Depending on how much there is to do, I may stick around until Sunday.

I'll be there. Hopefully in my rx-8. I've got 9:40 registration on Sunday. Never done any autocross, but I LOOOOOOOVE to drive fast. Just needs a safe place to do it.

I'm signed up with my wife on 7/27 (Sunday) along with a few buddies. Should be great!! I've got a '94 Miata that we have autocrossed in the past so the new 6 should be a blast. Might be a little weird auto-xing in an automatic?

I signed up the week registration opened. I believe I'm in group 7 or 8 Saturday morning. Several other MSCW members also signed up taht week.

No details yet, but looks like MSCW members will be invited to the Media Day on Friday.

Hope I have my RX-8 by then to drive to the event:)

Yeah, I forgot what time mine was on Saturday and lost the confirmation email. In the Help Desk FAQ of RevItUp Contact page they say you will get a re-confirmation notice seven days prior to the event.
