I am a member of several web boards such as this one and several of them require a 50 post count minimum to be able to sell things on the site. This ensures that the members trying to sell things are actual contributing members and not just 1 time posters trying to possibly screw somebody over.

Some sort of minimum is a good idea...

I like this idea too -- though we'd probably want to allow replies to existing posts for people with less than the minimum number of posts, or else they wouldn't be able to respond and buy things either!

That reminds me. Some random person made a thread selling car insurance. That was his only post. We need to get rid of those forum spammers too.

they're saying restrict people only from selling after 50 posts.

You get your 50 posts by posting in all the other sections of the forum.

We do as soon as we find out about them -- if you notice something like that, be sure to bring it to a moderator's attention by clicking the "report post" button (the one with an exclamation point on it).

and some other threads too , i forgot which ones, just search the posts i've made, pretty much screwed over most of the scammers by exposing them 8) , i know this an't nice, but its fun .... 8)
