i have a automatic rx8 and i was just wonderin what intake would be the best for my car... just wanted to opinions b4 i go out and by one...i would greatly appreciate it.. thanx...

not much for performance gains - they sound nice though...Check the threads on the bottom of this page and try a search.

There are currently two intake systems out right now. The K&N & Rotary Extreme. Both provide slight performance gain at the high end. The K&N has led to idle issues in some RX8's, while the RE intake has worked well. Racing Beat is coming out with their version of an air intake shortly. If you are looking for large performance increases you are not going to get them with this. The air intake should be incorporated with several other performance mods.

Any news on the Racing Beat unit?

I've been checking their website for 2 months and still no updates. After speaking w/ someone at R.B., I was told they were waiting on the box for the filter to be fabricated...........still waiting..........
