View Full Version : Anyone ever find out if a jack comes with the spare tire package?
BillK 04-10-2003, 06:04 PM Since we all know the can of fix-a-flat comes with the car standard, anyone know if the spare tire package comes with a jack? Amazingly enough the specs don't say.
Anyone have any idea how a spare is actually going to fit in the trunk? The wheel with the flat certainly isn't going anywhere but the back seat (let's hope Mazda includes a plastic bag with the spare...)
babylou 04-10-2003, 06:17 PM From the picture I saw:
The new spare fits along the spine, directly behind the seat back, on the trunk floor and below the parcel shelf. Does that make any sense? The rearmost edge of the spare seems to be at about the same longitudinal postiion at front most edge of the trunk lid opening.
Anyways, the spare does have a plastic booty. Either, the car comes with a jack already or the spare comes with a jack. No way Mazda ain't including a jack. I imagine the jack goes below the floor with the tool kit.

The tire repair kit comes standard with the car; it's an actual compact spare tire that's an extra cost option.

Actually no, If you drink the tire sealant then it gives you the power to actually pick up the car and change the spare.

Go back to the drawing board. When you order the spare tire kit they don't give you the tire sealant.

Actually I got both the tire and the kit, but I haven't tried drinking the goo yet.

Save it for when you really need it. I heard that in addition to strength, it also gives you a four hour erection
red_rx8_red_int 09-15-2004, 09:47 PM To clarify. I believe the spare tire kit does not include a jack. Why? Because the stock car has a jack. I have used it several times. I do not have the spare tire kit. I've also used the pump several times and I can't believe it does not show psi. It shows kpa or some funky metric measure. I think kpa is kilo-pascal? I have not tried the fix-it goop either in a tire or as a power drink so YMMV.

And remember to call your doctor if the erection lasts over 4 hours.
