Title says it all. It seems someone used the hood of my 8 to rest their packages or whatever on until they could get their car door open. Now I have scratches in the paint deep enough that if you run your fingernail across it you can really feel it. The car is Sunshine Silver (Zaino'd, of course.) Now I have these white scratches that I'm not sure I can get out.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Rick

ugh. that blows.

I can't help you with the scratches, but this was one of the reasons I had the shock sensor installed (costs about $35). If someone bangs into the car with their door, or dropped the packages on your hood, the alarm would go off. It still wouldn't fix the scratched tho :(

Hindsight is 20/20. I wish I had an electric field around it to fry the son-of-a-bitch.
But I'm not bitter

3M Polish follow by 3M Glaze should help to take out the scratch to the point that it is not visiable, but you could prob. still feel it. Another way is to take it to a detail shop and have it sand and buffed.

Sorry to hear about your hood. It could be worse, you could have a black car like me. If that happens to me I'll have no choice but to get it repaired, because there isn't a polish in the world that can hide it. I think with your color you will be able to hide it. Some polish should hide it quite a bit, but of course you will still see it. Good luck!!
